Wheat dosa recipe / Godhumai dosa

Here's a diet recipe ..Godhuma dosa / Wheat dosa ..
That's a rich source of fibre .. :)

Wheat dosa


Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 45 sec per dosa
Serves: 5 Dosas

Ingredients:

Wheat flour/Atta - 1 cup
Rice flour/Arisi maavu - 1/4 cup
Pepper corn/Milagu - 1 tsp (powdered)
Cumin seeds/ Jeerakam - 1tsp (powdered)
Shallots/Chinna vengaayam - 5 (finely chopped)
Hing/Perunkaayam - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tbsp
Water - as required for making batter
Oil - for drizzling while making dosas ..

Method:

1. Start sifting the wheat flour and rice flour ..after that add in salt ..
2. Mix all other ingredients such as powdered pepper corns, cumin seeds, finely chopped shallots, hing ..
3. Add in water little by little and make it in to a smooth, little runny batter (the next level to the normal dosa batter)
4. Let it rest for 5 mins ..
5. Take dosa tawa, pour in a laddle full of batter and make dosas (look into images)  ..drizzle some oil over its circumference ..
6. Serve hot with chutneys/dal gravies ..

Here's your ingredients ..

Start sifting the wheat flour and rice flour ..

Add in salt, powdered pepper corns & cumin seeds, finely chopped onions and hing..Pour in water little by little ..

Make it into a runny batter ..

Start making dosa using a ladle full of batter ..

Spread it in a cirular motion ..drizzle a tsp of oil over its circumference ..

Cover and cook ..

Flip over, once it is done on the other side ..

Once brown spots are formed on both the sides, your dosas are ready to be served :)
Here's your wheat dosa .. Serve it hot with chutney/gravy ..
